‘Let us move from untruth to truth and from darkness to light.’ Diwali is a festival of lights & symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. St. Mary’s Academy, Meerut Cantt. celebrated Diwali on 21st Oct, 22. The school campus was decorated with lights and beautiful rangoli made with flowers. The cultural program kick started with mesmerising Ganesh Vandana by middle school, followed by Musical Opera by Class XI students. It demonstrated the story of Diwali as and how Lord Ram defeated Ravana and saved Sita. Up next was scintillating dance performance by middle school girls. It was followed by Class I tiny tots, who stole the show by their cute moves. Grand finale was done by XI class students , depicting the entire Ramayana. The entire presentation filled the hearts of all students with the spirit of Diwali and they enjoyed the celebrations wholeheartedly.
Our Honourable Principal Rev. Edward Sebastian gave an energetic speech and urged the students to have eco-friendly Diwali. The program concluded with the school song.
