Shastri House (Red)

Shastri House has always been synonymous with glory and trophy, an epitome of sporting excellence at St. Mary's Academy. Over the years, the countless victories, trophies, and medals have stood testament to the fact that Shastrians are here to prove themselves and succeed, no matter what. As our motto goes, "Sky is the Limit, Rise Fly Achieve."

Under the able guidance of House Mistress Mrs. Meenakshi Waliaand House Master Mr. Himanshu Grover, the house achieved many laurels throughout the year and bagged a lot of excellence. Although we stood 2nd on the pedestal, we are proud to say that we fought well, and with a mere difference of 5 points.

Starting with the House Captain, Saumil Goyal, who is not only a great leader but also an outstanding sports person, bagged 4 medals this academic year, including a gold in obstacle, 2 silver in 800m and Long jump, and 1 bronze in 400. He is truly an inspiration for all and has set the bar high for generations to come.

The house outperformed everyone in the marathon, bagged the first position in both girls and boys categories. Aryan Agarwal, the Sports Captain, won the boys' category, and Kavya won the girls' category, proving that dedication towards a task is more important than the age of your contenders.

The house also boasts the fastest girl of SMA, Shripriya, who bagged 5 gold medals in events like 100m, 200m, 1500m, 4x 100m relay, and long jump. Kritin Sarin of the inters category proved to be the house's very own Neeraj Chopra and secured 1 gold in javelin, outperforming everyone by far.

A few more names that deserve mention are In sub juniors Mohd Akbar, silver in long jump, silver in 100m, gold in 200m, Dhairya Kaushik, 1 gold and 1 silver in cycling and relay, Manan Kumar,silver in 80m sack race,bronze in 100m.In junior boys,Yuvraj gold in high jump. Priyam Agarwal bronze in 3600m cycle race.

As the academic year of 2022-23 comes to an end, we are sure that this year's success will prove to be a prologue for years to come. The flag of Shastri House will always be waving high in the grounds of St.Mary’s Academy, reaching for the sky and achieving great heights.
