Nehru House (Yellow)

The yellow colour signifies hope, optimism and creativity.

The academic session 2022-23 has been an adventurous one. Upholding our house motto ‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going’ Nehru House with the colossal support of our athletes and artists paved its way to the third position on the school board. This wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support of our house master Dr S. P. Singh and house mistress Mrs. RafatNaseer. Every competition and event brought new challenges and responsibilities with it. Nehru house faced every challenge with competitive zeal and indomitable will power because well, wining and loosing never concerned us our soul aim was to do our best. House captain Yuvraj Singh and Vice- captain AveeshMasih pushed the envelope’s edge in taking the house to great heights Cultural Prefect LavanyaSobti spared no effort in giving her best at the creative front and took our house above and beyond. Our sports captain Arnav Jain secured a bronze medal in the 110 m hurdles and a gold in 4*100 m relay and led our house in the athletic march past. Yuvraj Singh, our House Captain and Athletic Captain with his lightning speed secured a gold medal in 100 m race, 200m race, 110 m hurdles and 4*100m relay along with PranaySiwach and Krishna Chaudhary. Yuvraj Singh also bagged many gold medals in the field events as well, amongst them were events like long jump and triple jump. He was also given the title of the ‘Fastest Marian’ and the best athlete in senior category and YuvrajTyagi from our House, won the best athlete trophy in the junior category. Abhinav Kumar secured a gold in 200m race and a bronze in 100m race. In the girls category Swarni Garg secured a bronze in 200m race and 4*100m relay along with Devina Bhargava, Teena and Aakriti Bansal. A special thanks to middle section council members Anant (Captain) and Aahana Jain (Cultural Prefect) for their undaunting motivation and relentless hard work.

With the combined efforts of all the house teachers and the students, Nehru house won the Principal’s cup and it indeed proved that with lots of hard work and creativity anything can be achieved.
